Patty Golin's business strategy is a simple one
- If you can't find what you're looking for, make
it yourself. Raised in Texas to a family with a
long tradition in woman's wear, it's no surprise
that she gravitated to the fashion industry. Working
with faux furs, she designed everything from floor
mats to changing pads. Utilizing the remnants (leftover
scraps) to make scarves for her young daughter and
friends, she found unexpected success in the burgeoning
infant clothing industry.
Commiserating over sleepless nights
due to their fussy newborns, Patty and former partner Alison came
together to design a swaddle that would be easy
to use and actually work. Combing textile factories
for just the right fabrics, the Sweet Roll Swaddler
was born in 2004.
